This is my first ever blog post, so I wanted to share some thoughts following my recent Open Studio event.
One interested visitor pointed out that I was wearing my painting! My favourite colours to wear are the more vibrant autumn shades, they so often seem to creep into my paintings.
Whilst another perceptive visitor, having walked around my garden remarked that my paintings had a link to the design of the garden. He had noticed how the areas of planting and paths weaving around the space were echoed in some of my work, such as the image shown below
These areas of colour, and linear elements seem to appear regularly recently. My style continues to develop and change as I work towards intuitive and authentic paintings, that reflect me.
After considering both these observations I have to agree!
I hope you enjoy reading this, I will try to become more accomplished as I learn!
